by train and foot
The main train station is La Spezia. Here you must take the train that stops in every Cinque Terre village.
You can buy the tickets at the ticket office or through the self-serve ticket kiosk.
The Cinque-Terre-day-pass is highly recommended if you want to travel the whole day among the Cinque Terre villages.
Get off at the train station of Corniglia. Outside the train station there is the Bus to the Village (the tickets for the bus is cheaper at the customers office inside the train station); or if you prefer you can walk on the steps (365 steps in uphill) or, if you have trolley bags, better along the road (it takes about 10/15 minutes).
From the bus stop take the little way, Via Fieschi, in between the ATM and the restaurant "dau tinola" and in 70 metres you will find the bar "pan e vin" where I work with my husband Stefano.
by car
The best road to come here is from La Spezia; so we high recommend to get out from the highway in La Spezia and then follow the directions to cinque terre.
A-12 Highway (Autostrada) Genova - Livorno. Exit La Spezia-S.Stefano Magra. Follow the signs towards Cinque Terre.
Not follow the instructions of the GPS satellite: in this area are not updated.
You meet before Riomaggiore, Manarola and then Volastra.
Just at that point, on the left, begins the road that leads to Corniglia and Vernazza (4.5 km): take that road.
After about 2 km you meet the junction that leads to Vernazza (right) and San Bernardino (left): you go straight to Corniglia.
Best parking places are the first you meet, before Corniglia centre, next to the information office at the begin of the footpath to Vernazza; white lines are free, blue at payment (15,00 euro for each day).
Is also possible to buy a weekly ticket for 50,00 euro.
IN TRENO E PIEDI
La stazione ferroviaria principale si trova a La Spezia. Qui è necessario prendere un treno che ferma in tutti i paesi delle Cinque Terre.
È possibile acquistare i biglietti presso la biglietteria o attraverso il chiosco self-service dei biglietti.
Il biglietto giornaliero per le Cinque Terre è altamente raccomandato se si desidera viaggiare tutto il giorno avanti e indietro tra le Cinque Terre. Tale biglietto denominato "5 terre card multiservizi" costa 16,00 eur0 (generalmente 13,00 euro nel periodo invernale) e comprende la tratta treno da La Spezia centrale a Levanto, bus in ogni paese delle 5 terre, utilizzo dei servizi igienici in tutte le stazioni.
Dalla stazione di Corniglia puoi prendere la navetta che porta in paese (se non si possiede la 5 terre card è possibile acquistare il solo biglietto presso l'ufficio informazioni che è presente all'interno della stazione) oppure puoi arrivare a piedi salendo per la scalinata (365 scalini) o, consigliata nel caso di trolley, camminando sulla strada delle auto.
IN AUTO
La strada migliore per raggiungerci è da La Spezia. Quindi consiglio l'uscita autostradale di La Spezia e poi seguirete indicazioni per le 5 terre.
A-12 (Autostrada) Genova - Livorno.
Uscita La Spezia-S.Stefano Magra. Seguire le indicazioni verso le Cinque Terre. Non seguire le indicazioni del GPS, in questa zona non sono aggiornati.
Si incontra prima Riomaggiore, poi Manarola e Volastra e dopo circa 5 Km,
sulla sinistra, inizia la strada che conduce a Corniglia e Vernazza (4,5 km): prendere quella strada.
Dopo 2 km incontrate il bivio che porta a Vernazza (a destra) e San Bernardino (a sinistra): voi proseguiti dritti per Corniglia.
I parcheggi migliori sono i primi che incontrerete, nelle vicinanze dell'ufficio informazioni situato all'ingresso del sentiero che conduce a Vernazza; strisce bianche gratuite, strisce blu a pagamento (15,00 euro al giorno). Possibilità di un biglietto settimanale al costo di 50,00 euro.
